Massage
My clients come to me because I take the time to hear your concerns, your previous experiences, and what you’ve been challenged by in your body, physically or mentally. I let you know what I think may be the best path to follow for your session and make sure that reflects back to you what I’ve heard. Frequently I will assess where some of you’re habits are by seeing you move and walk as well as getting a sense of your postural habits. Once these things are clear, I am better able to help you realize a more comfortable place to be in your body, both body and mind, through working specifically on what you’ve brought to have addressed.
Yoga
My clients explore yoga with me, because I am able to bring them into the experience of yoga as a way to enjoy and cultivate joy in being in their bodies. We begin your exploration into yoga by clarifying how you envision where you want to be in your body and what you think is keeping you from being there. Then I take the time to see where you are in your body. I assess how you hold yourself when relaxed, where your habits are in being and thinking in your body and with your participation we plan the practice to explore with my guidance and support. Incorporating breathing exercises to cleanse and clarify your body and mind, you will find clearer and deeper connections to your body as a whole and those parts that are difficult to sense. Through movement we resolve old injuries and redirect old habits. No two sessions are necessarily the same, but each time my intention is to support you to the fullest on a journey that brings you where you want to go.
Combining Massage and Yoga
Through massage we discover and transform the habits and tensions that are reluctant to let go when they are in a more relaxed state in the body. Through yoga we actively work to alter where restrictions and dependencies are with movement. Working with me using both massage and yoga you are provided with the opportunity to be excited and curious about the amount of control you have in determining your relationship with your body and movement. You get the chance to shed any unwanted and unneeded tendencies to move as far on this path as you chose to go.
Cancellation Policy
I require at least 24-hours notice for any cancellations or changes to appointment times in order to avoid a full-fee charge for missed appointments.
Fees
I offer 60 minute ($75) and 90 minute sessions ($110). |
